From Vacant to Vacation — A Basement Bath
This project really just speaks for itself, but let us give you the backstory. Our client wanted a modern, full bath that was easily accessible from her hot tub in the backyard, and one that would allow her to avoid wet footprints all throughout her home. A corner in the basement was the perfect spot — right off the back door, just a set of stairs away.
We started with nothing — picture your run-of-the-mill unfinished basement, just a concrete floor, waterproofed walls, a few cobwebs, and a vision to create a versatile space for our client to unwind and recharge.
After framing out and finishing the walls, we installed new tile, as well as a custom walk-in shower with a glass door. We left space at one end of the room for our client’s sauna — an important piece of any spa-style bathroom.
A vanity, built-in storage, flush mount lighting, a fresh coat of paint, and all other bathroom amenities finished up this project. Our client was so pleased with the finished product that she recently called us back to renovate her primary bathroom.
While we love renovating what already exists, there’s something truly rewarding about building something from the ground up.
